As professional testers, we hunts for bugs. And we read about software bug hunting. We'd like to share our reading with you.

Rosie Hamilton, an experienced English tester, wrote a very good article on her blog where she explains how she identified 6 types of annoyingly and awkward bugs. She presents them in a funny way, describes their root causes and had the good idea to name them so they could be easily remembered. As a professional tester, we strongly suggest you to read Rosie's article and learn by heart these 6 annoying bugs. You can start by learning their names:

  1. The needle in a haystack bug
  2. The positively helpful bug
  3. The crouching tiger hidden bug
  4. The longest journey bug
  5. The all the planets are aligned bug
  6. The far too obvious to be a bug, bug

These 6 types of bugs show how imaginative a software tester needs to be in order to hunt unthinkable bugs ! Read Rosie's article HERE.
